Baždarević: I am Ready to Achieve Something That Many Now Believe is Impossible

121021101252mehmed_bazdarevicI am happy and proud of the confidence that I have been given from the top people of the Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Now it is up to me to justify that trust. I have a lot of energy and I hope that we will again find the positive energy and do what many consider impossible at this moment, said the new coach of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s national football team Mehmed Baždarević.

He believes that BiH has a chance to qualify for the European Championship 2016 in France, although, he says, many do not think so.

“The chance is still there and we have to play each game to the last second and summarize everything in the end.

Now we have to make an analysis with the people from the football federation, put some things behind us and look forward.

Ahead of us are very important things to be done, said a former football player of Željezničar FC and a member of the national teams of Yugoslavia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He added that it is now necessary to make a joint plan and bring back the positive atmosphere.

“We certainly have the quality and we have to try to do what is expected from us. Many have doubts whether it would be possible. I say it is,” concluded Baždarević.

Mehmed Baždarević was yesterday elected the new coach of the national football team of BiH at the session of the Executive Board of the BiH Football Federation held in Zenica, where he received the unanimous support of 15 members of the Committee.

The Executive Committee will meet again on 27 December, when they will elect the new coaching staff, and Bazdarević’s closest associates.

“Let’s wait for all this to settle down. Primarily, this represents a great pleasure,” said at the end Baždarević to FENA.
