Name of the buyer of the Sarajevo hotel Holiday will be officially published in the next several days. Estimated value of the hotel is 83 million BAM. Only three out of nine bidders are in the narrower circle of competition for the former symbol of Sarajevo, and only one bid came from BiH. The hotel has been in bankruptcy since July 2014.
Owner of the hotel, the Austrian HETA, which published a call for sale of this real estate as the main creditor several months ago, completed all tender paperwork with bidders and now the only thing that has remained is to make an agreement with the buyer.
According to sources, company Bosna Bank International Real Estate is also among the most favorable bidders. Dubai owners of this company indeed want to buy this facility, and they also own the BBI Center in Sarajevo. This information was confirmed by Amer Bukvić, Director of BBI Bank Sarajevo.
„BBI Real Estate is interested in buying the hotel Holiday. We want to invest in BiH, make more megaprojects in BiH and improve the tourist community of Sarajevo and BiH. I really do not know if we will win this bid. We would really love it and, if we win this bid, then we will make something very significant for the city,“ Bukvić said.
According to the public call, apart from the facility itself the sale also includes land around the facility, i.e. parking space in front of and behind the hotel. The lowest price at which the hotel might be sold must not be under 28 million BAM. However, according to unofficial information not all legal and property issues are resolved, especially of one part of the parking space which is, allegedly, owned by the state.
