MEMORIJALNI CENTAR U POTOÈARIMA PROŠLE GODINE POSJETILO VIŠE OD 35.000 POSJETILACAA group of young artists, writers and musicians from East London travelled to Bosnia & Herzegovina with our ‘Lessons from Srebrenica’ educational visits programme to witness at first-hand the testimony of survivors and Mothers who lost loved ones in the Srebrenica genocide.

More than 20 delegates travelled with the You Press social initiative to Srebrenica and learned more about the vital work of the International Commission for Missing Persons (ICMP) in reuniting families with the remains of loved ones. They returned to the UK to begin planning a Srebrenica-based performance in their community – aimed at raising awareness of the genocide and challenging hatred.

Here, three members of the group are filmed at the Srebrenica-Potočari Memorial Complex – where some 6,000 genocide victims have now been laid to rest. Emily Churchill Zaraa, Farah Mohammoud and Annisa Khan tell us about their experiences in Bosnia and how the visit has affected them.
