Becirovic-Rao: Mutual Interest in improving Cooperation between BiH and Pakistan

Member of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Akhtar Jamil Rao, today in Sarajevo and discussed the relations between the two countries.

The interlocutors emphasized mutual interest in improving cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, especially on the economic front.

They pointed out that the potential for deepening cooperation exists, among other things, in the sectors of the food processing industry, food and water production, metallurgy, mining, car and electrical industry, then in the paper and oil processing industry, energy, as well as in the textile and leather industry.

Bećirović emphasized the importance of continuing the organization of meetings between entrepreneurs and investors of the two countries, as well as speeding up the resolution of the proposed agreement whose conclusion procedure is in progress.

Pakistan’s relations with neighboring countries were discussed at the meeting. Ambassador Rao said that his country remains committed to good relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina, the BiH Presidency announced.
