Becirovic with Kallas: Dangerous Illusion in RS-No Such Thing as Peaceful Disintegration

BiH Presidency Member Denis Bećirović welcomed the EU High Representative and thanked her for her clear and precise messages. He expressed hope that together they “can preserve the state, the constitutional order and peace in BiH”.

“There is a dangerous illusion in the RS entity that thinks that there can be a peaceful disintegration of BiH. We will use legal and political means to stop all attacks on the constitutional order of BiH. EUFOR, NATO, the legal High Representative – everyone should do their part. The international community has a mandate to stop the destroyers of peace in this part of Europe”, Bećirović stressed.

He added that BiH is dealing with “a group of lawbreakers who do not respect the Constitution and laws of BiH, nor Dayton”.

“This is an attempt by the RS entity to destroy the sovereignty of BiH, which is guaranteed by Dayton, the BiH constitution and international national law. The laws signed by the president of the RS entity are in contradiction with Dayton. We must respect the principles of constitutionality and legality, imagine that in any country in the world a lower level of government prohibits the activities of state bodies, that is impossible,” he clearly specified.

He also referred to Milorad Dodik’s praise of Putin, calling for caution and preserving the principles of constitutionality and legality. This is a zero priority, said Bećirović and noted that no one will deal with any secondary topic until the attack on the constitutional order is stopped.
