The basketball team of Bosnia and Herzegovina will welcome the current European runner-up France in the second round of Group “E” qualification for Eurobasket 2025 on the “Mejdan” floor in Tuzla on Monday.
Both national teams won in the first round, Bosnia and Herzegovina over Cyprus, and France against Croatia.
Before the test against the French, the head coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, Adis Bećiragić, will not change the team, which achieved a convincing triumph with a score of 99:66 in Nicosia.
“We had three days to prepare against Cyprus and now we are preparing for a great opponent, France, which has a large number of quality players. We are mentally and physically ready for a good game. We hope for a good result, and that means victory,” said Bećiragić.
He added that together with the members of the coaching staff, he will set the tactics before the game itself. The players have already been informed about some parts of what they are preparing, and Džanan Musa said that he will not reveal the details because they want to try to surprise the French.
“We did well in the first game and forgot about it. We turned to France and are maximally focused. The match will be difficult, but we have the right to hope for victory,” says Musa.
Captain BH Adin Vrabac of the team proudly points out that he wears the ribbon on his shirt and that, supported by the support of the audience in “Mejdan”, he will do everything to win.
“It is an honor to be the captain of the BiH national team. The atmosphere is great, we are compact and I don’t want to waste a lot of words. I will say that we have great confidence and we are ready to go out on the floor and give our best,” said Vrabac.
The match between Bosnia and Herzegovina and France starts at 19:00, and the tickets for the match were sold out five days ago. The gates of “Mejdan” will be open from 5 p.m.
In the second match of the second round of group “E”, also on Monday, Croatia will host Cyprus in Rijeka, and the match will start at 20:00, AA writes.
