BH Railway Passenger Traffic increased by 44 %

According to the data of the Federal Bureau of Statistics, a total of 104,647 passengers were transported and 7,535,765 passenger kilometers were realized in the second quarter of the year of 2018, which represents an increase of 44.1 % of transported passengers in comparison to the same period last year, while passenger kilometers are higher by 102 %.

Of this, the number of transported passengers within the local passenger transportation is increased by 44.3 %, and realized passenger kilometres are higher by 102.2 % in comparison to the same period of 2017.

A total of 2,059,430 tonnes of goods were transported within the freight railway transportation in this period, and 194,765,251 tonne-kilometers were realized, which in comparison to the same period in 2017 represents a decrease by 4.2 % tonnes of goods.

Of this, less than 18.6 % of the tonnes of goods were transported within local freight transportation and realized tonne-kilometers were decreased by 36 % in comparison to the same period of 2017.

Within the international freight transportation was transported 28.3 % more tonnes of goods, and realized tonnes of kilometers were increased by 23.3 % in comparison to the same period of 2017.
