BiH Among The Countries With The Cheapest Fuel In Europe

While the citizens of Iceland pay the most expensive fuel in Europe, as much as 2.097 euros for a liter of 95-octane gasoline, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) has found itself at the very other end of the list – among the countries with the lowest fuel prices.

According to available data, after Iceland, the highest fuel prices are recorded in Denmark (1.941 euros) and the Netherlands (1.904 euros), while similarly high values are also present in Switzerland, Albania, and Greece. In the middle of the table are Germany (1.642 euros), France (1.677 euros), and Italy (1.705 euros).

BiH is at the very top for favorable prices

BiH has taken one of the lowest places on the European list, with an average price of 1.201 euros per liter of gasoline. Below our country in terms of the cheapness of fuel are only Russia (0.672 euros) and Belarus (0.666 euros).

This data places BiH in the group of countries where citizens and the economy are currently paying a significantly lower price for fuel compared to the European average, which, in a time of constant global price increases, represents a rare positive piece of news.

Comparisons with the region

In comparison with its neighbors, BiH is noticeably more favorable. Croatia, with a price of 1.482 euros per liter, is close to the European average, while in Slovenia and Montenegro the prices are only slightly lower – 1.443 euros and 1.430 euros.

Among European Union (EU) member states, the cheapest fuel is in Bulgaria (1.218 euros) and Poland (1.376 euros).

BiH is currently enjoying one of the lowest fuel prices in Europe, which is of great importance for citizens and the economy. While European countries are facing ever higher costs, BiH is, at least in terms of fuel price, among the more favorable destinations on the continent.
