BiH and NATO share a strong Partnership

The Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Bisera Turkovic talked yesterday with the former Commander of the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo, Brigadier General Eric Folkestad, and the newly appointed Commander, Brigadier General Pamela L. McGaha.

Cooperation between BiH and NATO was discussed at the mentioned meeting.

The Minister thanked the NATO Headquarters for continuous support and assistance, especially for the successful cooperation with the Armed Forces (AF), and emphasized that BiH and NATO have a strong partnership, with the aim of strengthening and intensifying cooperation.

She stressed that the Commission for Cooperation with NATO, established in February this year, adopted the BiH Reform Program 2021, which was submitted to the Council of Ministers for consideration and adoption.

Minister Turkovic thanked General Folkestad for his help and cooperation on the occasion of the end of his one-year term as the head of the NATO headquarters in Sarajevo, while she wished the newly appointed commander, Brigadier General Pamela L. McGaha, a successful mission.

General Folkestad expressed special gratitude to Minister Turkovic for the successful cooperation and support to the NATO Headquarters in the past period.

”The interlocutors agreed that it is necessary to speed up the activities on fulfilling the determined obligations, which are ahead of BiH, ” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH announced.
