About the work of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the equipment of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s army, the road to NATO, state property and security checks – Zukan Helez, the head of this department, spoke to Dnevnik D.
He claims that he completed a number of projects in a short period of time, and that all that was needed was good will. He says that he increased the budget of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defense by 90 million BAM, and the salaries of members of the Armed Forces by 30 percent. He further states that he signed the purchase of 5,000 new uniforms, and that new helicopters are being purchased.
He pointed out that he visited the main destinations – Washington, Brussels, was in the headquarters of the NATO alliance, the headquarters of the European Commission and the Ramstein base.
“The fact that the most modern bombers in the world have flown over are the consequences of my visit to the USA, and a number of good things await us for BiH”.
He says that the path of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina towards NATO standards is on an upward trajectory.
“There is absolutely no dilemma, no other alternative – BiH is moving towards the NATO alliance and it will be a member of that alliance”.
Regarding the situation in Kosovo, he says that it is slowly coming to an end.
“I am glad that lately there have been no rumors that we have anything to do with Kosovo. The situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina is completely peaceful and stable. I want to tell the citizens that Bosnia and Herzegovina is safe, its borders are secure”.
“I will never allow anyone to tear off a foot of this country anywhere. This is our country, of Serbs, Croats and Bosniaks,” says Helez.
He pointed out that state property is a legal issue.
“If it was called entity, it would belong to the entities. It is called state, even from the RS they call it state. It is state and will be state and will remain state. And the less politics, the sooner it will be resolved. Purely legal question. That will be solved by the lawyers”.
