BiH FM: “Dodik Could Have Been a Circus Performer—If Not for His Life of Crime”

Austrian Foreign Minister Beate Meinl Reisinger and Bosnia and Herzegovina Foreign Minister Elmedin Konaković held a meeting today where they discussed all current political developments in our country.

Konaković explained that at the meeting they discussed current current developments in our country, but also revealed details of the conversation with the Austrian minister.

“We discussed the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Milorad Dodik is collapsing the judicial system in BiH, people live in fear that the situation could worsen. Dodik is now awaiting a second-instance verdict and is provoking the BiH Prosecutor’s Office and the Court of BiH by not appearing in new cases initiated against him. Economic relations between BiH and Austria have been very good recently,” says Konaković.

He then added:

“The gradual integration of our economy into the European economy is very important. That is something that I particularly like and want to emphasize. I have indications that other EU countries will also impose sanctions on Milorad Dodik, as will Austria and Germany. I think that is a very important message. We appeal to our colleagues on the domestic scene to be aware of the importance of this process. I hope that you will drink water at the Bey Mosque, that means that you will return to BiH.”

Konaković says that he has information from diplomatic sources that sanctions against Dodik, Višković and Stevandić will continue.

“We have received from diplomatic sources that sanctions will be imposed on Dodik, Višković and Stevandić. Politics is a marathon where there are no quick solutions. It is a very long procedure in solving problems. I cannot say which countries will introduce sanctions in the future. We have estimates of where they will be. This is the initial phase of sanctions. They are announcing further steps that will be even more dramatic. We are encouraged by these sanctions. We expect activities from the EU,” says Konaković.

He states that Milorad Dodik has lost his bearings.

“Milorad Dodik said he would take over border control, and yesterday he addressed the BiH institutions to abolish customs duties on US products. Let him abolish them, who promised it. It is sad to see him like this, we are looking at how to get rid of him. His sentences are schizophrenic. A man who has completely lost his bearings. He is hoping for Trump’s support to tell him: ‘Mile, go your own way’. He is not grounded and some things will not happen. He could have been a circus performer, if he were not a serious criminal. We should be careful with him because he is crazy. We are careful, but we are not afraid,” says Konaković.

Finally, he also referred to Interpol’s decision not to issue a red warrant for Dodik, as well as the Election Law.

“According to these rules that I am reading, I think there will be red warrants. The election law will not be adopted, we did not agree on that. We will not adopt it this way. I always suggest that we return to the reconstruction of the Constitution of BiH. Let’s return to the principles from Neum. We do not pass laws to the House of Peoples that have not been adopted by the Council of Ministers. What is happening to Nebojša Vukanović with Dodik has been happening to me for years with Bakir. I want him not to succumb to these pressures, it is worth opposing them. We should send the Siamese twins to political pensions and open processes,” concluded Elmedin Konaković, N1 writes.
