BiH FM received Anonymous Letter threatening to FM and HR Schmidt

Two nights ago, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) received a threatening anonymous letter threatening Minister Bisera Turkovic and High Representative Christian Schmidt.

In the letter, Turkovic and Schmidt are threatened by “powerful Russia and Putin”. The text of the letter is full of many insulting words, especially towards Schmidt, and threatens Russia’s reaction.

The Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH confirmed that the threatening letter was received and that, in accordance with the procedures, it was reported to the Directorate for the Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH for further action.

”The competent police agency is aware of this case. We have no further comments,” it was said from the Cabinet of the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH.

The threatening letter arrived at the address of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH with a Serbian stamp, and the name Ratko Mladic was listed as the sender on the envelope. In addition to a series of offensive messages, the anonymous sender also sent threats to the addressees.

It should be noted that this letter appeared in an already heated atmosphere of arguments regarding the extension of the EUFOR mission in BiH and the opening of the possibility that if Russia blocks the extension of the mission, the door will be open for the arrival of NATO troops.

On this occasion, the Russian embassy in BiH announced the day before yesterday and made a series of claims that the United States (U.S.) and the United Kingdom (UK) are working on the “NATO-ization” of BiH.
