Everton confirmed continuation of the cooperation with the 23-year-old player through the official club website.

“I am very happy for signing a new contract. When I first arrived here, it was a very difficult period for me, but now I feel like at home. I was very well accepted both by my teammates and the fans. I am still adapting to the league, and I promise to continue to work hard and give my best in order to achieve our common goals,” said Besic for the club’s television after signing the contract.

BiH midfielder was elected as the best player of Everton in January. He provided particularly good performances in the matches against Manchester City, Tottenham and Chelsea.

Besic came at Goodison Park from Hungary’s Ferencvaros after the World Cup in Brazil, where the popular Mume played very well for the national team of BiH, and attracted attention of many clubs.
