BMW, Daimler, Ford and Porsche will build a Network of Electric Charging Stations in BiH

Four big world manufacturers and distributors of cars – BMW, Daimler, Ford and Porsche – will build a network of chargers for electric vehicles in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Competition Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina allowed BMW, Daimler, Ford and Porsche to create a joint venture company with the aim of developing, establishing and managing high-voltage intercity infrastructure for charging electric vehicles’ batteries.

Four companies have included BiH in their larger plan for building a network of bottling plants across Europe. It is not known when construction in BiH should begin, but the start of installation in the rest of Europe is planned for this year.

As announced exactly 12 months ago, the European network should initially include close to 400 filling stations, and until the end of 2020, thousands of stations should be installed on the Old Continent.

The technology in the cells will be based on a combined charging system (CCS), which is actually an enhanced AC charging mode. Theoretically, stations will allow fast charging or up to 350 kWh in a very short time.
