Bosnia and Sweden Reaffirm Strong Bilateral Partnership

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden, Maria Malmer Stenergard, as part of her visit to mark the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide.

Konaković thanked Minister Stenergard for her visit to our country at this important moment, and expressed special gratitude to the Kingdom of Sweden for its principled and consistent support for preserving the memory of the Srebrenica genocide.

During the meeting, good and stable relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sweden were confirmed, with a shared commitment to preserving the sovereignty, territorial integrity and constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Key aspects of BiH’s European path were discussed, including the implementation of reforms, harmonisation with the Common Foreign and Security Policy of the European Union, and strengthening the rule of law and the protection of human rights.

The meeting was an opportunity to confirm the strong partnership between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Kingdom of Sweden, with a shared commitment to European values ​​and regional stability.
