In ten months of this year, we imported 51.3 million liters of water, which means that the import will be the same or even higher compared to 2022, when BiH imported 55 million liters of water.
This information surprises the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina again and again, considering that our country is rich in water and has huge resources of natural spring water.
However, analysts point out that producers outside our country invest much more money in branding and advertising, and their water is better positioned in our market.
When it comes to the export of water, it is traditionally smaller than the import, and we exported 43.5 million liters of water.
The data that is interesting is the obvious difference in the “value” of water when it comes to comparing imports and exports, so the value of imported water for ten months was 29.3 million BAM, while exports were worth 6.5 million BAM.
We imported the most water to the Republic of Serbia, 30.5 million liters, while we exported the most to the Republic of Croatia, i.e. 39.7 million liters.
Data from the Indirect Taxation Administration (ITA) of BiH show that in ten months of 2022, BiH imported 133.7 million kilograms of juices and alcoholic beverages worth 192.7 million BAM.
As they explained to Klix.ba, due to the viscosity and composition of the drinks, which includes sugar, the kilogram is used as a unit of measurement.
In total, we exported slightly more than 49 million kilograms of juices and alcohol worth 40.8 million BAM.
