Domestic, regional and world media reported the news that Bosnian and Herzegovinian (BiH) Samir Becic, the fitness king, got his Day in Houston.

That was the decision of Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner to declare January 10th as the Day of Samir Becic.

Becic has received, as he revealed, more than 50 requests for an interview from the Balkans.

”I came to the United States (U.S.) 20 years ago and was welcomed with open arms. From the first day, I did my best to be an exemplary citizen, both in the sphere of my profession and personal behavior, as well as in public activity. Two years after my arrival, I became the number one fitness trainer in the U.S., health advisor to Houston Mayor Lee Brown, owned my own company, and was surrounded by friends who are changing the world around them. I worked every day to show due respect to this great country for opening its doors to me and giving me the opportunity to turn my childhood dreams into reality. After 20 years, Houston declares January 10th as the official Samir Becic Day. The U.S. gave me the opportunity to turn my dream into reality,” Becic stated in the interview.

Moreover, he also said that he plans to visit BiH soon, Avaz writes.
