The prominent British newspaper The Times named him a national hero. He has put B&H on the map of the Australian Open, writes The Times.

‘’B&H, a country without tennis infrastructure, money and tennis courts, has recorded the first victory at the Australian Open. Its author is young tennis player Damir Džumhur’’, writes The Times.

Džumhur arrived to the main competition in Melbourne with three wins in the qualifications and without losing a set.
