In the Tuzla settlement of Miladije last night, a firearm was used, and one person died from his injuries, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Tuzla Canton confirmed.

On May 2, at around 10:50 p.m., it was reported to the Zapad Police Station that E.S. (1982) from Miladije had seriously wounded his brother E.S. (1986), also from the same settlement, with a firearm.

Teams from the Tuzla Health Center’s Emergency Medical Service, police officers, criminal police investigators, as well as special units from the Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton, were immediately dispatched to the scene.

The injured man was provided with medical assistance at the scene, but despite the efforts of the doctors, he succumbed to his injuries, as determined by the doctor on duty.

After committing the crime, the suspect left the scene, and the police launched an intensive search during the night. In the morning hours of May 3, he was located and arrested, after which he was taken to the official premises of the Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton for criminal processing.

The investigation at the scene is ongoing, and is being led by the prosecutor on duty of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Tuzla Canton, while the investigative actions are being carried out by officers of the Criminal Police Sector.

“Further measures and actions will be taken upon the order of the competent prosecutor,” the Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton confirmed.
