Representatives of the RS government and the Bulgarian Holding ‘’Bulgartabak” will soon sign a Memorandum on the takeover of the ‘’Fabrika Duvana’’ Banja Luka, announced the President of the trade union organizations in this company Miroslav Marinković.

After the meeting with the Prime Minister of the RS Aleksandar Džombić, Marinković said that the Memorandum will comprise an agreement that guarantees basic principles and protection of the rights of workers.

He says that the union is now a relevant factor in further negotiations with ‘’Bulgartabak’’ in connection with the basic principles of a future collective agreement that implies an increase in labor costs.

‘’Negotiations with ‘’Bulgartabak’ are leading in a positive direction and we hope that this company will soon take over ‘Fabrika Duvana’ Banja Luka’’, said Marinković.

Currently, 250 workers are employed in ‘Fabrika Duvana’ Banja Luka.

The majority owner of the state capital of ‘Fabrika Duvana’ Banja Luka is Nebojša Antonić. He said that from 11-14 February the Memorandum will be signed by representatives of ‘Bulgartabak’ and the RS government.

‘’The professional team from ‘Bulgartabak’ came to ‘Fabrika Duvana’ Banja Luka to look over the documents. I thank that there will be more work in the factory and with that, a bigger need for more workers’’, said Antonić.

He says that the selling price of ‘Fabrika Duvana’ Banja Luka will be accepted, and that the complete takeover of the company will occur at the end of February.
