asaPrevent Group is the largest private company in Bosnia and Herzegovina with its 14 factories, and the largest domestic exporter. Their plants in BiH employ around 6.500 workers.

Annual income of the Prevent Group amounts to around 700 Million EUR (1.37 billion BAM), and around the world the Prevent factories employ 13.000 workers. The company, led by one of the wealthiest Bosnians Nijaz Hastor, has spread its business empire on Croatia, Austria, Germany, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Hungary, Brazil and Turkey.

According to the German media, Hastor knows very well what he is doing, despite the large number of factories.

“He is a true professional. Unlike many employers from the Balkans, Hastor never aspired to achieve closeness with politicians,” the Spiegel wrote.

Through his investment company Halog, the owner of Prevent increased his share in the ownership of one of the major German suppliers Grammer from 10.2 percent to 15 percent in March this year. The media announce that he will soon buy that company.

“Suppliers in this country will hear a lot about the Hastor family in the future,” the German weekly magazine wrote.
