Center for Education ‘Pro Educa’ is organising a business forum called ‘Family-companies- the pillar of economic development’ which will be held on 15 May in Banja Luka.
Major businessmen and owners of family companies from RS and region, Government representative, representatives of international organisations, embassies and expert associations will attend the conference and they’ll have the opportunity to hear experiences of owners and managers of family companies from the region, and experts that know how to overcome challenges businessmen face.
Pro Educa is organising a business forum with the aim of acquainting the public and representatives of the governments about the significance of family companies that represent the pillar of economic development.
They noted that family companies in the most developed countries constitute more than 50% of GDP and employ around 60% of population.
Research that was done by Pro Educa with the owners of family companies in RS showed that 64.4 % of companies employs non-family managers, and 50% of those companies do not know their heir, 29% of company owners are soon to retire.
Author of the project Dragan Močević said that all those data show that family companies need help in creating strategies for further business and he added that he hopes that this conference will offer good advice to people who deal with family companies.
With the aim of raising the awareness of significance of family companies in BiH, Pro Educa, will organise similar forum in Sarajevo.
