CEC BiH orders Recounting of Votes at 39 Polling Stations

At today’s session in Sarajevo, the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued an order to recount the ballots in order to determine the election results.

Votes will be counted from one polling station in Vitez, from 10 polling stations in Ilidža, nine polling stations from the primary constituency of Novi Grad Sarajevo, as well as from eight polling stations in the municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo.

Votes will be counted again from seven polling stations in Novi Sarajevo and from three polling stations in Zenica.

Votes will be counted again today in the afternoon.

The CEC of BiH fined a total of 7,500 BAM to the political entity SDS-Will of the People for premature election campaign and violation of election silence.

At the session, it was noted that it was established that the SDS-will of the people of Novo Goražde Municipal Committee published the names of candidates for the Municipal Assembly and candidates for the head of this local community with a short biography on the “Facebook” page, for which a fine was issued from 4,500 BAM.

Due to the publication of political messages on the social networks of the Municipal Board of this party of Modriča on election day, SDS was fined 3,000 BAM.

At today’s session, SNSD’s appeal was accepted, and this party’s fine of 5,500 BAM was canceled. The CEC rejected this party’s request for annulment of local elections at two polling stations in Teslić as inadmissible.
