lutkarstvoOn the occasion of the 20th March, Zenica celebrates the World day of Theater for children and youth and World Day of Puppetry at the Bosnian National Theater in Zenica. Plays for the youngest audience are announced for the next days in this theater.

From Sunday, 23 March until Friday 28 March, the  plays “Put do čarolije” and “122” by the director Miroljub Mijatović and the play “Kraljica Vešmašina”by the director Jelena Kovačić will be performed.

On the occasion of celebrating the World Day of Theater for children and youth, the tradition is for some of the prominent theater artists to write a message which would be read before the plays.

The author of this year’s message is dr. John Kani, the playwright, actor and director from South Africa, who met with the theater for the first time when he was child in a brutal system of apartheid and fascinated by the play, and his wish was to be on stage.
