12721543_1129638567087098_1644468839_nThe reason that the results of the census have not been published yet lies in 100.000 census forms, out of the total of 3.791.622 according to the preliminary results of the registered citizens, confirmed the expert associate for public relations of the Agency for Statistics of BiH, Mirsada Adembegović.

“We are talking about 100.000 census forms (about 2.5 percent of the total number of census forms) that are disputable due to three remaining disputable issues related to the census forms on which it was stated that the minor children delivered their own data, then the selection and usage of probabilistic statistic method for carrying out a resident, and the question 40 of the census form P1,” Adembegović explained.

Adembegović added that, due to this, the expert teams from all three statistical institutions are intensively working on in-depth analyses of disputable issues, consulted by the experts of the International Monitoring Mission, in order for the solutions reached to be in accordance with international standards for censuses and in accordance with the Law on Census.

At the same time, Adembegović said, management of the Agency for Statistics of BiH leads intensive communication with directors of entity institutes.

“If all three statistical institutions do not agree on these three disputable issues by the end of this month, the Central Census Bureau might adopt the Unique Program of processing the data of the census of population, households and dwellings in BiH in 2013. In this way, the census results could be processed and published within the legal deadline,” Adembegović said.

When asked is it true that the Agency for Statistics of BiH can publish results of the populations census in BiH on their own, Adembegović said that in accordance with the attitude of the Central Census Bureau from 2013 the statistical institutions do not comment on allegations in the media and statements by groups of people or individuals. In this regard, the Agency for Statistics of BiH highlights that publishing of the results of the census is regulated with the Article 37 of the Law on Census of Population, Households and Dwellings in BiH in 2013 and that the Agency will continue working in accordance with the Law.

Regarding the budget for the census, Adembegović stated that the implementation of the funds allocated for the census by the Agency for Statistics of BiH is being carried out in accordance with the financial plan, which was created in accordance with the Law on Census.
