The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina estimated the annual core inflation for the first six months of 2026 at 4.42 percent.

Based on the available, official statistical data for consumer price indices in BiH and the corresponding weights, the Central Bank estimated the annual growth of average consumer prices in the service sector at 4.80 percent.

According to official statistics, in June, compared to May, inflationary pressures slightly strengthened in the price sections included in the calculation of core inflation.

The CBBH estimate of core inflation based on official statistical data is 26 bp lower than our estimate from the round of quick estimates from June.

The levels of annual core and inflation in the service sector for the first six months of 2026 have strengthened compared to the levels recorded for the entire previous year, which confirms the persistence of domestic inflationary pressures.
