The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina fined the SDS and SNSD 3,000 BAM and 3,500 BAM, respectively, for violating the election silence at today’s session.
The SDS was fined because Ognjen Bodiroga posted a post on social media on election day in which he called on voters to vote for Branko Blanuša, thus violating the election silence.
The CEC rejected as unfounded the SNSD’s complaint that Želimir Nešković from the SDS violated the election silence by posting on social media, because it was not established that the text of his post in which he called on voters to exercise their civic duty constituted a violation of the election silence.
The SNSD was fined because it was established that the party’s president, Milorad Dodik, had four posts on social media on election day, relating to implemented projects, photos from meetings, and parts of his appearances on television shows.
The CEC today issued an order to open bags with election materials from one polling station each in Gradiška, Brčko and Bijeljina because the Main Counting Center determined that voter lists from these polling stations were missing.
The decision on the date of opening the bags will be made by the Main Counting Center.
An order was also issued for a new control count from three polling stations, because the control of the election results determined that at these polling stations there were fewer signatures on the extract from the Central Voter List than the number of signatures on the minutes of the work of the polling station committee.
“At polling station 083B028, there are 504 signatures on the extract from the Central Voters’ Register, and 532 signatures on the minutes of the work of the polling station committee and the number of voters. At polling station 034B113, it was determined that there are 351 signatures on the extract from the Central Voters’ Register, and 361 signatures were recorded in the minutes of the work of the polling station. At one polling station in Laktaši, 326 signatures were determined, and there were 327 ballots in the box,” it was stated at the session.
The decision on the date of the new control count will be made by the management of the Main Counting Center.
