On Thursday, December 7, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers BiH Denis Zvizdic is going to visit Vatican, where he meet with Pope Francis.

Yesterday, the Chairman visited Apostolic Nuncio to BiH, mons. Luigi Pezzuto, as announced from Zvizdic’s office.

They discussed the upcoming visit of Chairman Zvizdic to the Holy See, as well as the meeting with Pope Francis that will take place on December 7.

They also discussed the current situation in BiH. They agreed that bilateral relations of BiH and the Holy See are very good. Chairman Zvizdic expressed his pleasure for being able to meet with Pope Francis and said that such policy of peace and coexistence is the one that Pope Francis lives and propagates and the only possible one in this region.

At the meeting were also discussed possibilities for overcoming a standstill in the implementation of the Basic agreement between the Holy See and BiH. On this occasion, Apostolic Nuncio Pezzuto asked for help in adoption of the law on nonworking days during religious holidays.

During his visit to Vatican, Chairman Zvizdic will also meet with the  Secretary of State of the Holy See, cardinal Pietro Parolin.
