Chairman of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH’s) Presidency Milorad Dodik has confirmed that he talked with his colleagues about the visit of the head of state in the period between January 20-25 to Brussels, to request the candidate status.

But, as he said, he will decide whether he will personally go to the headquarters of the EU in the forthcoming period.

Dodik said that there is already the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, so he maybe he will go to Brussels because he is a favorite person there, Dodik said at the New Year’s press conference in East Sarajevo.

Asked whether he would still decide to go to Brussels, given the joint statement on EU integration that the new BiH Presidency convened at its first session, Dodik said he did not cancel that possibility.

“But it seems to me that I will propose Zvizdic, he is good there,” Dodik said, adding that he would like BiH to get candidate status as soon as possible.
