PROIZVODNJA TREŠNJE NAJPERSPEKTIVNIJA GRANA POLJOPRIVREDE NA DOMAÆEM I STRANOM TRŽIŠTUFarmer Sakib Sarvan from the village Tarevci in Modriča is proof that ideas and education are the  key to success. Sarvan is a returnee from abroad, who has worked for years in the Belgian orchards, and now has his own plantation where he planted 2.5000 cherries.

He said to Agency Fena that cherry is the most promising fruit in the domestic, European and world markets. He emphasized that cherry is the only fruit of which there is not enough in markets. The price of cherries are high and does not decrease. Success is ensured, said Savran, who has a lot of experience in this field and follows modern trends in agriculture.

He specified that the price of fresh cherries in the Belgian market is 8 Euros, and the price does not fall below 5 Euros. Sarvan says that his orchard is three seasons old and the fruits are expected in the sixth season, and he says that from all the production that he got in the previous season, he sold in the domestic market at a much higher price than other farmers. He said that his price for cherries was four BAM per kilogram.

Sarvan specified that he planted 1.000 seedlings imported from Belgium on his plantation.
