Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union continue intensive cooperation in the fight against terrorism and prevention of violent extremism, it was concluded at today’s meeting between BiH Security Minister Selmo Cikotić and Deputy Director General at the European Commission’s Directorate General for Migration and Home Affairs Olivier Onidi.

Head of the EU delegation to BiH, Johann Sattler also attended the meeting.

Since the EU and BiH signed a bilateral agreement on counter-terrorism in 2019, the meeting analyzed the implementation of goals set by the EU and BiH together to fight terrorism, prevent violent extremism, exchange information and cooperate with EUROPOL and fight against money laundering.

Also, Cikotić and Onidi discussed the current status of the agreement between BiH and the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex), the BiH Ministry of Security said.
