The prices of products and services used for personal consumption in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), measured by the consumer price index, were 0.4 percent higher in February compared to the previous month, while the annual inflation is 12.9 percent, the Agency for Statistics of BiH announced.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages are on average more expensive by 1.3 percent, alcoholic beverages, and tobacco by 0.9 percent, furniture, and household appliances by 0.7 percent, healthcare as well as restaurants and hotels by the same amount, recreation and culture by 0.3 percent, and other goods and services by 0.6 percent.
In February compared to January, clothes and shoes are on average cheaper by 1.3 percent, housing, and utility bills by 0.6 percent, and transportation by one percent.
The price level in February, compared to the same month of the previous year, is higher by 12.9 percent.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages are on average more expensive by 20.8 percent, alcoholic beverages, and tobacco by 3.7 percent, housing, and utility expense by 13.7 percent, furniture, household appliances, and regular home maintenance by 12.6 percent, and healthcare by 2.7 percent.
In February, compared to the same month last year, the average price of transportation rose by 10.9 percent, communications by 0.9 percent, recreation and culture by 9.3 percent, education by 2.5 percent, restaurants and hotels by 10 .4 percent, and other goods and services by 9.3 percent.
Clothes and shoes are 4.2 percent cheaper on average, Vijesti.ba reports.
