The most comprehensive Indictment filed for Crimes committed in Vlasenica

The Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecution Office of BiH filed an indictment against Mane Djuric, born in 1956 in Sanski Most, a citizen of BiH, Radenko Stanic, born in 1960 in Vlasenica, Miroslav Kraljevic, “Mico” born in 1968 in Vlasenica, a citizen of BiH and Goran Garic, born in 1970 in Vlasenica, a citizen of BiH.

They are charged for acting contrary to the provisions of the International Humanitarian Law and the Geneva Conventions on the protection of civilians during the war, during the armed conflict in BiH in 1992 and 1993.

The indictment includes murder and forcible disappearances of at least 22 persons, detentions, torture and maltreatment of more than a dozen persons in several facilities in Vlasenica, theft and destruction of property of Bosniak population as well as other crimes that led to persecution of almost the entire population of Bosniak nationality from the aforementioned area by the spring of 1993.

In the indictment was stated that the accused, personally and directly,armed and with the threat of force, together with other members of the armed forces and police, persecuted and found civilians of Bosniak nationality and they took them from their homes or other locations into numerous detention facilities including the concentration camp Susice.

The detainees went through torture, maltreatment and abuse, some of them died in detention, and the last trace of some detainees was lost there and their mortal remains have not been found ever since.

The Prosecution Office of BiH will prove accusations by calling more than 140 witnesses from all over BiH, abroad and overseas countries, and around 20 witnesses will give their testimonies under some of the protection measures. Numerous evidence were submitted.
