Conditions for Construction of a Research Institute in Sarajevo ensured

ssstThe Government of FBiH gave consent for acceptance of the grant for financing of the Project of construction and equipping of the Research Institute “King Salman Bin Abdulaziz” at the Sarajevo School of Science and Technology, based on the Memorandum on understanding for the Project between the Saudi Fund for Development and Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the amount of 38 million SAR or 10 million USD.

This grant creates conditions for construction and equipping of a building which consists of five floors and a garage, with total surface area of 6.000 square meters, near the current campus of the University SSST, where this institute for scientific work in the field of medical and computer sciences would be situated.

Basic purpose is to provide one hundred new workplaces for highly educated staff, including 60 doctors of science, 30 masters of science and ten technicians, as well as to conduct research in the field of medical and computer sciences. This would be the first institute of its kind in the region.
