sastanakConstruction of a roundabout and the facility of elementary school in the settlement Šip, children playground in Soukbunar, and placement of underground containers at four locations at the territory of the Centar Municipality were only some of the topics at yesterday’s meeting at the premises of the Sarajevo Canton.

The meeting was hosted by the Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton Elmedin Konaković, who spoke with the delegation of the Centar Municipality led by the Chairman of the Municipal Council Nedžad Ajnadžić.

“Implementation of the project of construction of the roundabout in the settlement Šip is very important for the Government of the Sarajevo Canton. We are willing to support its implementation with necessary funds because this roundabout will definitely solve the issue of traffic jams in this part of the city and finally connect the settlement Šip with Jukićeva Street,” stated the Prime Minister Konaković, announcing that this project will be included in the work program of the Government of the Sarajevo Canton for next year as a capital project.

According to the Director Executive for technical issues of the Public Enterprise “Motorways of FBiH” Dedo Pjanić, funds in the amount of 3.3 million BAM must be provided for the implementation of this project.

Chairman Ajnadžić said that the Centar Municipality will provide additional funds for solving all disputable property and legal issues on these roads.

It was also stated that the Sarajevo Canton and the Centar Municipality provided necessary funds for beginning of construction and laying of the cornerstone for the construction of elementary school in this settlement.

Prime Minister Konaković was also interested in the project of placement of underground containers because, as he said, this is a significant project which solves the issue of stray dogs in the center of the city, in addition to the solving of the issue of urban disposal of domestic waste.
