The Contemporary Art Museum of Republic of Srpska was awarded for its work at the solemn ceremony of “Živa” awards for the best museum in South Eastern Europe, held in Skopje, Macedonia.
“This Museum was awarded due to its creativity and its important role in the local community, especially when it comes to stimulating young generations of artists.” – was stated at the Museum.
The “Živa” award is assigned by the Slavic cultures forum, an international foundation created in 2004 and including 13 countries. Its main aim is to recognize remarkable achievements in the field of working with mobile and immobile heritage, to promote joint cultural heritage and to stimulate mutual exchange of knowledge and experience.
The “Živa” awards ceremony, entitled by the name of the old Slavic deity of life, youth and fertility was held at Friday, November 7th.
