Meeting radiosarajevo.baPrime ministers and ministers of internal affairs of the Sarajevo Canton and the Una-Sana Canton, Elmedin Konaković, Husein Rošić, Vedran Mulabdić and Ervin Bibanović, spoke yesterday in Sarajevo about improving cooperation in many fields.

“There are many identical jurisdictions and problems. We spoke about economic potentials, employment opportunities, and special emphasis was on tourism, which is important for the both cantons. Of course, the safety segment is preconditions for any other happenings and plans. This is our first meeting with representatives of the newly appointed Government of the Una-Sana Canton and I am truly encouraged by the way in which this government started solving the piled problems,” said the Prime Minister Konaković after the meeting.

Moreover, Konaković said that they exchanged information about several significant legal acts that have been adopted in the both cantons recently, including the Law on Civil Service, as well as some regulations that regulate the amount of wages for directors of public enterprises.

“It was not an accident that we chose Sarajevo Canton as the first canton to visit. We are aware that, especially in terms of legislature and its adoption, this canton has raised the bar to a whole another level. Our intention is to listen to their experiences that can be very valuable for us, because we want to launch similar activities in our canton as well,” said the Prime Minister Rošić.

Delegation of the Una-Sana Canton also suggested a joint approach to higher levels of authority regarding the adoption of important legislature, especially the one that is pertinent to the distribution of budget means on the level of FBiH.

It was agreed that such meetings will be organized more frequently and the next one will be an opportunity to talk more about future cooperation. Both cantons will pay special attention to tourism, as the crucial branch of development in the both cantons.
