The cornerstone for the construction of the new facility of the North Wing of the University Clinical Center of the Republika Srpska was set yesterday in Banja Luka.
The cornerstone was set by the Minister of Health and Social Protection of RS Dragan Bogdanić, Minister of Physical Planning, Construction and Ecology Srebrenka Golić, director of the UCC RS Mirko Stanetić and the director of Austrian company “Vamed” Gerhard Reiter.
Project of reconstruction and equipping of the Central medical section and the construction of the new North Wing of the UCC RS is worth around 84 million EUR without VAT and it should be completed by the middle of 2018.
The new facility of the North Wing, covering 17.000 square meters, will accommodate operating rooms, central sterilization unit, Urgent Medicine Center and Pathology, while the reconstruction of the Central medical section will include 41.000 square meters of surface.
Bogdanić expressed expectation that the contractual deadline for completion of the works, the mid-2018, will not be extended, as well as that all participants in the implementation of this project will give their best to complete the works prior to deadline.
