On the basis of the Assistance Program of the Republic of Croatia for the return of Croats to Bosnia and Herzegovina for the year 2025, the Vice-President of the Government of the Republic of Croatia and the Minister of Spatial Planning, Construction and State Property Branko Bačić announced a public call for applications for the allocation of financial support to projects to encourage the return of Croats and create better living conditions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports N1 Croatia.

As stated, applications for financial support can be submitted by registered legal entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina that implement projects aimed at the return, reintegration and stay of Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that contribute to improving the quality of life and long-term sustainability in local communities.

The implementation of these goals is achieved through the following measures:

– encouraging the sustainable return of the population to the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina through financial assistance to associations and other legal entities that, through their activities, can help the return and with their activities contribute to the creation of better and better living conditions, as well as prerequisites for staying,

– encouraging economic activities for the sake of economic development, promoting centers for returnees through which assistance and support programs for returnees would be implemented, and encouraging the renovation and/or construction of communal and social infrastructure,

– support for institutions for people with special needs and activities aimed at socially vulnerable categories, such as victims of violence, single parents, etc., as well as support for health care improvement programs and projects,

– support for the creation of programs and projects aimed at encouraging return, sensitizing the public about the problems and difficulties of returnees, and highlighting successful returnee stories as incentives and motivation for return.

The total amount of financial support per individual project cannot exceed 80,000 euros (close to 156,000 BAM). The deadline for submitting applications is August 4.
