The President of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic will pay an official visit to Russia and meet with President Vladimir Putin next week, with the aim to induce bilateral relations that have been neglected for years.

Grabar-Kitarovic will, besides bilateral relations, put a special emphasis on the stability of South East Europe and on the global role of the Russian Federation.

Croatia and Russia have common interests in the fight against international terrorism and all forms of extremism, but also the interest in the stability of South East Europe.

One of their topics will be the situation in BiH. Grabar-Kitarovic repeatedly expressed her concerns about the processes in BiH, especially emphasizing the stagnation in the process of accession to the European Union and NATO, and the stagnation in enforcing reforms.

Both Croatia and Russia are advocating for a unified, sovereign, complete and stable state of BiH and the equality of all three constituent peoples that live in it, as reported by Hina.

After the conversation, the two presidents will sign a series of agreements, including the Program of cooperation between Russia and Croatia related to attorney’s offices as well as the Agreement on cultural cooperation.

The central event of the second day of Grabar-Kitarovic’s visit will be the Russian-Croatian business forum, which attracted a lot of attention. Around 150 representatives of about 100 Croatian companies will come to the Moscow forum, and Russia confirmed the participation of 245 companies.
