Culinary “Ibrahimović” from BiH wins the Swedish Cooking Championship!

Edin Džemat, a gastronomic grandmaster of BiH roots, last night won the first place in the cooking competition “Kockarnas kamp”.

He won convincingly with 23 points, while his opponent Pelle Johansson had 15 points.

Kock-Zlatan or culinary Zlatan, as people call him in Sweden, continues making one success after another. In Gothenburg he was running a restaurant Linnea Art, and now he is concentrated on a new restaurant, which he will all DzeMAT.

Restaurant DzeMAT is located in Kosta Boda, Swedish glass empire which became a tourist attraction, and Edin’s restaurant is a part of the hotel Kosta Boda Art Hotel.

When he was eleven years old, Edin and his family moved from Prijedor to Sweden. He grew up in the small town of Vernam, where he graduated from culinary school. Led by the desire to learn more with the best ones in the branch, Edin Džemak embarks on unknown again: at the age of 19 he starts specialization. He shaped his culinary talent in some of the most famous restaurants in the world.

Today, Edin is a chef, a renowned master of international cuisine, and owner of many awards.

Apart from this victory, Džemat was also declared the White Guide Rising Star 2014 and he was also the captain of the Swedish culinary national team.
