Culum is not returning to SIPA, He will be an Advisor to the RS Police Director

Darko Culum, now the former director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), confirmed that he is done with the agency, despite the fact that he was not dismissed at yesterday’s extraordinary session of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

“I submitted a personal request for dismissal. That means I am resigning. They can accept it or not. They did not dismiss me because the Serbian representatives in the Council of Ministers did not want to appoint an acting director. That is probably the reason. Otherwise, a personal request for resignation is no longer subject to discussion,” Culum said.

When asked whether that means he is no longer going to SIPA, he confirmed that he is not.

“There’s nothing more to it, I submitted a personal request, I asked to be dismissed,” Culum emphasized.

Yesterday, when asked when he will start working at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska (RS), he said that he expects a decision today.

“For now, I have been offered the position of advisor to the director, so I will probably be there for now,” Culum said.
