Chair of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željka Cvijanović spoke today in Nicosia with the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides. They assessed that the bilateral relations between the two countries are good and friendly and agreed that there is room for further improvement, especially on the economic level.

Cvijanović introduced Christodoulides to the current political and economic situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and special emphasis was placed on the European integration process.

Cvijanović pointed out that there is a consensus of the representatives of both entities and all constituent peoples in BiH regarding EU membership and thanked for the support that the Republic of Cyprus, as a member of the EU, provides to BiH on its way to full membership.

The officials also exchanged opinions on other current topics, and the President of the Republic of Cyprus expressed his interest in investment opportunities in the energy sector.

Cvijanović expressed her satisfaction with today’s meeting with the President of Cyprus Christodoulides and the discussion on the past cooperation between the two countries, as well as the prospects for its development, and invited the President of Cyprus to visit BiH, the BiH Presidency announced.
