torvill_deanOn occasion of marking the 30 years since the Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo in hall ‘Juan Antonio Samaranch’-Zetra on Thursday, 13 February a skating show called ‘Trideset’ will take place.

The event will be magnified by the presence of famous British figure skating pair Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, who danced Ravel’s ‘Bolero’ at the 1984 Olympics. In addition to winning the gold medal, they received the maximum points (6) from all nine judges.

With pair Torvill-Dean, 16 skaters will perform, among which will be the champions of Great Britain in the junior competition, and skating professionals.

In the first part will be young skaters from Sarajevo clubs Olimp and Bosna, from 5 to 16 years of age, who will showcase their own program. In the second part, there will guests from Great Britain, junior champions and professionals, and the program will end with a performance by Torvill and Dean.

This event will mark the beginning of a campaign to build skating rinks in Sarajevo.
