daviddiCharge d’Affaires of the Delegation of the European Union (EU) in BiH, Renzo Daviddi, said in Banja Luka that it is necessary that politicians in Bosnia and Herzegovina focus on socio-economic issues and reforms.

“That is the essence of the Compact for Growth and Jobs,” Daviddi said in a statement to reporters, expressing confidence that they achieved consensus on the necessity of reforms in BiH.

Work will be done with representatives of the BiH authorities on defining the agenda for the reform program to improve the socio-economic situation, he added.

Daviddi got acquainted with the work carried out on the restoration of the “Technical School” in Banja Luka funded by the European Union within the EU program for flood recovery.

He pointed to the importance of this project which will help to recover from floods in BiH, and one of the goals is the reconstruction of the educational units or schools like this one in Banja Luka.

“These activities we did after the floods are having results,” said Chargé d’Affaires of the EU Delegation to BiH, indicating the importance that students have good conditions for studying in schools.

School director Dejan Čutura said that the reconstruction costs about 147,000 BAM and added that a great part of job has been done.

The School of Technology is attended by 762 students in 29 classes who are trained in nine different professions.
