Decrease in Number of Fixed Telephone Lines, SMS Messages Last Year

A total number of fixed telephone lines of dominant operators in the third quarter of 2019 was 590.409 which represents a decrease of 2,6% compared to the third quarter of 2018, according to Bosnia-Herzegovina’s Agency for Statistics.

The total traffic of fixed telephone network in the third quarter of 2019 was je 374.211.937 minutes which shows a decrease of 20,2% compared to third quarter 2018.

A number of mobile phone users in the third quarter of 2019 was 3.804.197 which shows an increase of 9,3% compared to the third quarter 2018th year. The total traffic of a mobile telephone network in the third quarter of 2019 was 584.334.964 minutes which shows an increase of 0,7% compared to the third quarter 2018th year.

The number of SMS messages sent in the third quarter of 2019 decreased by 12,3%, while the number of MMS messages sent increased by 10,1% compared to the third quarter 2018h.

The total number of Internet connections via the fixed network in the third quarter of 2019 was 707.782 an increase of 2,7% compared to the third quarter of 2018.

Total number of fixed telephone lines of dominant operators in the second quarter 2019 was 597.285 represents a decrease of 2,7% compared to the second quarter of 2018.

The total traffic of the fixed telephone network in the second quarter of 2019 was 396.021.252 minutes which shows a decrease of 7,3% compared the second quarter of 2018.

The number of mobile phone users in the second quarter of 2019 was 3.585.604 which shows an increase of 7,3% compared to the second quarter of 2018.

The total traffic of mobile telephone network in the second quarter of 2019 was 569.037.510 minutes which represents a slight decrease of 0,2% compared to the second quarter last year.

The number of SMS messages sent in the second quarter of 2019 decreased by 10,9%, while the number of MMS messages sent increase by 24,2% compared to the second quarter last year.

The total number of Internet connections via the fixed network in the second quarter of 2019 was 707.543 an increase of 3,1% compared the second quarter of 2018 year, according to BiH’s Agency for Statistics.

In the first quarter of this year, the total number of fixed telephone lines of dominant operators in 2018 was 652.502 which represents a decrease of 6,2% compared to the 2017 year.

The total number of own subscribers of alternative operators in the year of 2018 was 140.033 which shows an increase of 11,8% compared to previous year.

The total traffic of the fixed telephone network in the year of 2018 was 1.383.007.063 minutes which shows a decrease of 15,3% compared to 2017.

The total outgoing domestic traffic alternative operators in the year of 2018 was 323.158.253minutes which shows an increase of 0,8% compared to the previous year.

The number of mobile telephone subscribers in the year of 2018 was 3.461.058 which shows a slight increase of 0,6% The total traffic of mobile telephone networks in the year of 2018 was 2.367.465.067minutes which shows a decrease of 5,0% compared to the previous year.

The number of SMS messages sent in the 2018 year decreased by 29,2%, compared to the 2017 year

A total number of fixed Internet subscribers in the year of 2018 was 693.873.

The number of subscribers of mobile Internet via standard mobile broadband access in the year of 2018 was 1.789.989, which shows an increase of 25,9% compared to the previous year.
