Decrease of Collected Cow Milk and Slaughtered Cattle in Bosnia and Herzegovina

In 2019 the total number of cattle decreased by 1,8% and of goats by 1,4%, while the number of pigs increased by 0,2%, of poultry by 6,2% and of beehives by 5,0% in relation with the same period of 2018. In the same period the total number of sheep and horses remained on the same level, according to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Agency for Statistics.

In 2019 the total production of cow’s milk decreased by 5,3%, ewe’s milk by 1,7% and goat’s milk by 3,9% in relation with the same period of 2018. Total production of wool decreased by 3,6% and of honey by 15,9%, while the production of eggs increased by 9,5% in relation with the same period of 2018.

During the 2018 year, the number of slaughtered cattle decreased by 18,61% and of pigs by 17,21%, while the number of slaughtered sheep increased by 13,96% and of poultry by 3,12% in relation with the period of 2017.

According to data from BiH Agency for Statistics, the net weight of slaughtered cattle decreased by 25,67% and of slaughtered pigs by 16,82%, while the net weight of slaughtered sheep increased by 12,73% and of slaughtered poultry by 3,47% in relation with the period of 2017.
