Delegations of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of BiH, led by Deputy Minister of Defense Mijo Kresic and Chief of the Joint Staff of the AF BiH, Colonel General Senad Masovic, are staying in the Republic of Turkey from June 7 to 10, 2022, attending EFES 2022.
EFES is a series of national exercises conducted by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Turkey every other year. Exercise “EFES 2022” is performed on military training grounds in the city of Izmir from May 9 to June 9, 2022, and consists of two phases, with the participation of over 10,000 members from 37 NATO members and partner countries, including Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The goal of the exercise “EFES 2022” is to develop the capabilities and capacities of the armed forces of the participating countries through the implementation of all tasks assigned in combined and joint operations. The Day of High Officials, held on June 8 and 9, 2022, was attended by high-ranking officials from the countries participating in the exercise, including the Ministers of Defense and the Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces. In addition to the exercise, the dignitaries had the opportunity to visit an exhibition of the defense industry in İzmir, which is attended by 48 companies.
The delegations of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of BiH, in addition to Mr. Kresic and General Masovic, include Commander of the Operational Command of the AF BiH Major General Radovan Ilic, Commander of the 5th Infantry Brigade of the AF BiH Brigadier Emir Kliko, Colonel Nikola Istuk, Colonel Hrvoje Turudic, Colonel Asmir Sarajlic and Colonel Sasa Lazarevic.
