Deputy Director of the FBiH Police Administration (FUP) Ensad Korman met yesterday with the Police Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Austria to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Karlheinz Gortan.

They discussed successful cooperation, which was especially intensified after the first meeting in November, including a concrete example of police cooperation, in the context of the case at the NLB Bank branch in Sarajevo on December 18 last year.

This is a case in which the competent police authorities of Austria, with a quick reaction, provided certain operational data to the FBiH Police Administration, which were of great importance for further investigation in this case.

There were also other examples of good police cooperation, to find better and more efficient modalities of data exchange, especially when it comes to the urgency in certain investigations.

At the same time, it was assessed that the fast and efficient police cooperation of the Police Directorate with the Austrian Embassy, i.e. the police attaché of the Ministry of the Interior of Austria is of great importance for the two countries in combating serious security threats, both at the national and international level, the FBiH Police Administration said.
