Director General of the European External Action Service arrived in Sarajevo

The Director General of the European External Action Service, Angelina Eichorst, has arrived to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina.

She will meet with members of the BiH Presidency and other high-ranking officials, and on July 11, she will visit the Memorial Center in Potočari, where a collective funeral will be held for the victims of the genocide.

As a reminder, Eichorst was the mediator of the European Union and played a significant role in the changes to the Election Law. She first attended meetings with representatives of political parties in October 2021.

After several meetings and a lack of agreement, due to the calling of elections, the negotiations failed.

Eichorst comes at a time when Bosnia and Herzegovina is once again shaken by the crisis due to the moves of the leadership of Republika Srpska led by Milorad Dodik.
